Double Dutch Aunties
Trilogy - Book one
Bronx Born, Ropes Raised follows four Bronx girls—Tracey, Fatimaah, Daysia, and Kendra—as friendship, ambition, and two turning ropes carry them from neighborhood schoolyards into a much bigger world.
Growing up in New York City during the late 1980s and early 1990s, the girls experience the energy of hip-hop, Double Dutch performances, first loves, school dances, iconic NYC destinations, and the discovery that the game they grew up playing can also become a competitive sport. As they venture beyond the Bronx, their dreams expand from the playground to college campuses and future careers.
At its heart, Bronx Born, Ropes Raised is a coming-of-age story about sisterhood, culture, education, resilience, and believing that where you start does not determine how far you can go.
Four girls. Two ropes. One Bronx beginning that changes everything.
Double Dutch Aunties
Trilogy - Book two

The ropes carried them through the Bronx. Now, education takes them beyond it.
In Beyond the Ropes, Tracey, Fatimaah, Daysia, and Kendra leave the familiar streets of New York and begin four new journeys at Howard University, Clark Atlanta University, Xavier University, and Winston-Salem State University. Different campuses. Different cities. Different paths. Same sisterhood.
College introduces them to HBCU culture, Greek life, athletics, internships, relationships, career opportunities, and the realities of becoming independent young women. While pursuing ambitious academic and professional goals, they discover that growing up sometimes means making difficult choices about love, friendship, family, and the futures they once imagined together.
Through every transition, Double Dutch remains the rhythm connecting them to home—and to one another.
Beyond the Ropes is a story of education, opportunity, sisterhood, leadership, love, and legacy, showing what happens when four Bronx girls take everything the ropes taught them and use it to build lives bigger than they once imagined.
Different paths. Same ropes. Stronger together. The next jump changes everything.
Double Dutch Aunties
Trilogy - Book three

The ropes brought them together. Education opened new doors. Now, the final chapter weaves their legacies into a future they never dared to dream. In the concluding volume of the Double Dutch Aunties Trilogy, Tracey, Fatimaah, Daysia, and Kendra transition from the academic worlds of their HBCUs into the professional sphere.
As they navigate their twenties and thirties in the fast-paced landscape of the 21st century, they face their greatest challenges yet: balancing high-powered careers with personal fulfillment and maintaining the bond that has sustained them since childood.
From the streets of the Bronx to boardrooms and back, the rhythm of the ropes remains their heartbeat. Book Three is a celebration of full circles, enduring love, and the powerful legacy of sisterhood that transcends generations.
